What we don't know: we can't see your register. Anything past a redemption is a model, and we label it as one. We'd rather under-count than sell you a number you can't trust.

The questions people actually ask
Is this really free, or is there a catch?
It's free. Local businesses fund the credits because reaching you is worth something to them. You never pay to use the app and you never have to buy anything to earn.
How much can I actually save?
It depends on how often you engage and how many businesses are advertising in your market that month. We'll show you your running balance and projected bill every time you open the app, so you always know where you stand — and we won't promise you a number we can't back up.
What do you do with my data?
We track what you engage with inside the app so we can pay you correctly and rank offers sensibly. We don't sell your information to advertisers. Businesses see aggregate performance for their own campaigns — never your name, your address, or your individual activity.
Do you follow me around with location tracking?
No. Location is used only when you open the Wi-Fi map or to improve which offers you see, and you can decline it entirely. The app doesn't track you in the background.
What if a credit turns out to be wrong?
We check engagement for fraud, and occasionally a credit gets held or reversed. When that happens you'll see it in your wallet with an explanation — not a silent adjustment on your bill at month end.
Do I have to be a Pivot internet customer?
You need a service account we can apply credit to — internet or cellular on a participating network. If you're on a public hotspot around town, you can start engaging before you have either.
